ADNOC Distribution Expands Presence in Egypt: Unveils Three New Service Stations
Abu Dhabi, UAE – September 23, 2023: ADNOC Distribution (ADX: ADNOCDIST), the UAE’s leading fuel and convenience retailer, continues its strategic expansion into international markets with the inauguration of three ADNOC-branded service stations in Egypt. Positioned strategically across Greater Cairo, these stations offer a comprehensive range of vehicle services to local communities, marking a significant milestone in the company’s regional growth strategy.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the ADNOC service station in Degla Maadi, saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Eng. Tarek El Molla, Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, H.E. Mariam Alkaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Egypt, Mr. Khaled Abdel Aal, Cairo Governor, and Mr. Alaa El Batal, President of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation.
Eng. Bader Saeed Al Lamki, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, highlighted the significance of this expansion, stating, “Today marks an important milestone in our international expansion journey as we launch ADNOC service stations in Egypt, positioning us as a leading regional provider of mobility solutions.” He emphasized the company’s commitment to addressing customer needs and bringing innovative services to the Egyptian market.
As part of its expansion strategy, ADNOC Distribution plans to open an additional six service stations across Egypt by the end of 2023. This initiative follows the acquisition of a 50% stake in TotalEnergies Marketing Egypt LLC (TEME) earlier this year, further solidifying its presence in the Egyptian market.
In addition to the service stations, ADNOC Distribution introduced its signature ADNOC Oasis convenience stores in Egypt. These stores offer a wide selection of food and beverages tailored to Egyptian preferences, including the brand’s specialty grade, 100% Arabica coffee. With a focus on customer service excellence, ADNOC Oasis promises an enhanced shopping experience, featuring professionally trained baristas adhering to International Specialty Coffee Association standards.

The joint venture encompasses a diversified downstream portfolio, including 240 fuel retail stations, 100+ convenience stores, 250+ lube changing stations, car washes, lubricants, wholesale, and aviation fuel operations. Already, the venture has expanded its corporate portfolio in the aviation fuels business by securing the right to supply aviation fuel to Etihad Airways for flights fueled in Cairo.
Furthermore, ADNOC Distribution is developing infrastructure to launch ADNOC Voyager, its premium automotive lubricants range, in the Egyptian market. These products will be available at ADNOC service stations and across local lubricants retailers.
The newly opened ADNOC service stations, located in Degla Maadi, Obour City, and on the Suez Ring Road, are fully equipped to operate 24/7. They offer a comprehensive range of vehicle services, including car wash, lubricant and tire change, with maintenance services available at select locations. Additionally, all stations feature an ADNOC Oasis convenience store, providing customers with a diverse range of products, including fresh foods, bakery options, and specialty coffee beverages.
